Rogue One actor Alan Tudyk has confirmed that his character, Ok-2SO, won’t seem within the film’s upcoming spinoff collection for Disney+. Nicely, no less than not but.
The Star Wars companion collection, titled Andor, was first introduced on the D23 Expo in August 2019. Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy shared that the present’s timeline would happen earlier than Rogue One, and the plot would concentrate on Diego Luna’s Insurgent Cassian Andor and his droid Ok-2SO. However since then, we haven’t heard something about Ok-2SO’s involvement.
In a current interview with Collider about his new SyFy collection Resident Alien, Tudyk confessed that Ok-2SO will not be within the first batch of Andor episodes. “They’re taking pictures it proper now, I’m not in it,” he acknowledged. “However, if it stays on the air, tales preserve getting advised, I’ll find yourself in there.”
The humorous factor is, Andor had initially been billed with Ok-2SO as a significant character. In spite of everything, who’s Andor with out his sarcastic sidekick? “I am [at] all these bulletins for the present, and I had instructed at D23 after we introduced within the present, that it’s referred to as K2 Quick K2 Livid: The Cassian Andor Collection and, um, that is not occurring, it is referred to as Andor!” joked Tudyk.
Relaxation assured, Tudyk is assured that Ok-2SO will get his second to shine. “I will be within the present. It is simply that the story that Tony [Gilroy] is telling would not contain Ok-2SO till in a while,” he defined. “I am unable to be too particular, however I can positively say that I am not going to be within the first season.” Contemplating the monstrous reputation of The Mandalorian, it is probably that Andor will resonate properly with Star Wars followers as properly. So it is a fairly protected guess we’ll get to see the present develop to the purpose the place Ok-2SO can take part on the motion.
